Police confirm one man killed in Syracuse shooting

Syracuse Police confirm that one man has died after a shooting that happened just at 5:45 pm on Sunday at the corner of Sabine and Davis Streets.

Officials say 21-year-old Andre Rossario-Claudio, of Syracuse, was in extreme critical condition before passing away at Upstate University Hospital.

Police confirm a second 20-year-old victim was also shot and remains in Upstate for treatment. Police have not disclosed his name. He is expected to survive.

Officials say they are looking for at least one suspect, but there could be more.

Sergeant Tom Connellan is asking anyone who saw this crime to help the police. "We are appealing to the public right now," said Sgt. Connellan. "It happened in the middle of the day, a lot of people were out. We're asking anyone that has any information, saw anything heard anything, has anything that'll provide a clue for us to give us a call."
