Police investigate two shots fired incidents in Syracuse

Syracuse Police are investigating two shots fired incidents, one happened Friday night at about 11:30 pm, the second was Saturday morning at about 1:10. The first was on the 1000 block of Cannon Street. Police say the intended target was a 22-year-old woman, who was shot at by an unknown black man. The bullets missed their target and instead hit two nearby parked cars.
The second shots fired call came at 1:10 am on the 200 block of Primrose Avenue. Police say they heard several gunshots in the area and a witness pointed out a vehicle in a driveway that they believed the shots came from.
When the officer approached the car, the driver took off on foot. The officer was able to detain the two other men in the car for questioning. Police say one parked car was hit by gunfire.
Police are currently investigating the incidents, and are not sure if the two incidents are related.
