Syracuse Police are investigating a strong-armed robbery that happened at the Mobil gas station on 4730 South Salina Street at about 11:20 pm on March 29.
The 19-year-old female clerk told police that two black males came into the store and one of them jumped the counter and tried to open the cash register.
The clerk described the suspect who jumped the counter as a dark-skinned black male about 6 feet tall with a medium build and was wearing a brown hooded pull-over sweatshirt. The second suspect would not let the clerk get to the register as the other man tried to open it.
This suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, about 6 feet tall with a gray, unkempt beard and a purple cap, purple shirt and a black hooded sweatshirt with bright colors on the front. Police say he was about 50-years-old.
The two men got away with cash and were last seen heading north on South Salina Street on foot.
The clerk was not injured during the robbery.
