Police look into Montgomery County kennel after public concern about cold

in Albany, police have visited a Montgomery County kennel after receiving several calls from people concerned about the safety of the dogs during the cold weather.

Pictures of the kennel in the town of Root were making their way across social media, and state police have followed up with several visits.

According to WNYT, police say the owner is providing the dogs with shelter, food and heated water. Police say there are no violations of state and local laws.

Several people on social media have sent out pictures of the dogs in the kennel, saying that the dogs look cold and that some of the dogs are buried up to their shoulders in the snow.
