Police looking for pair that broke into E. Syracuse home, shot man
EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
Police say they're looking for two suspects after a shooting in East Syracuse Friday morning.
DeWitt Police say it happened at about 5:45 a.m. on Hartwell Avenue near West Manlius Street. Police said a 21-year-old man was shot by two white males who had broken into his house, stolen a few items and shot him with a "small caliber projectile."
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, police said. A 19-year-old woman also living in the home was not injured.
Police say they're searching for the two suspects, who were last seen wearing gray hooded sweatshirts. The incident is under investigation.
