Police make arrest in November 3 crash that killed good samaritan

Syracuse Police have made an arrest in a deadly three-car crash that happened on November 3 on route 690.

Police arrested 33-year-old Daniel Wall, of Syracuse, and charged him with vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving and driving while ability impaired by drugs. Wall was also ticketed for imprudent speed and moving from a lane unsafely.

The crash happened after a car was broken down on the side of 690 at about 4am and another vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Ryan Dearnaley, stopped to help. Wall crashed his SUV into the back of the vehicle that stopped to help, causing it to hit the disabled car.

All three men were taken to the hospital, Dearnaley later died of his injuries.
