Police: Pair charged after meth lab explosion, fire in Oneida
ONEIDA, N.Y. —
Oneida City Police say two people are behind bars after a meth lab exploded, causing an apartment fire on Monday.
Police say it happened on Madison Street. All residents in the home were evacuated and crews were called in to clean up the scene.
Police say they arrested Bryan Musacchio,36, and Paula Hunkins, 45. Police say the pair faces a number of charges including criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and endangering the welfare of a child. Musacchio faces additional charges including unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, reckless endangerment.
Musacchio was sent to the Madison County Jail on $25,000 bail, $50,000 bond, according to police. Hunkins was sent to jail on $2,500 bail or bond, police said.
Police say they credit the watchful eye of neighbors for alerting police of the possible crime. Additional charges may come as the investigation continues.
