Police release name of fatal stabbing victim

A 47-year-old Syracuse woman was fatally stabbed during a domestic dispute in her home early Thursday.

Rhoda Reese was pronounced dead at 6:00 a.m. at University Hospital, where she was taken after going to a neighbor's door for help.

Police say a man at the home also suffered stab wounds and needed emergency surgery. He was expected to survive.

The dispute involved only the two victims and police say they were not looking for any other suspects.

Sgt. Tom Connellan says police aren't releasing the name of the man, who has yet to be interviewed.
