Syracuse police are searching for the suspect who stabbed a man and then stole his car Thursday afternoon.
Police say the victim is a 40 year-old man, who was stabbed multiple times at the corner of Neutral Court and Mary Street around 3:00 p.m. The victim was able to tell officers that the suspect had stolen his vehicle after stabbing him. The victim described the suspect as an 18 year-old black male, according to police.
The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital and taken into the Operating Room. Police say he is currently in critical condition, but is expected to survive.
Police say the victim's car, a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, was found in the parking lot of 104 Gannett Drive. Police are still searching for the suspect. Anyone with information about this stabbing is asked to contact Syracuse Police at 315-442-5222. All calls will be kept confidential.
