The interview portion of investigation into the 2009 death of Sheena Morris is complete, according to the Herald Tribune.
The Herald Tribune reports that Florida state officials working on the controversial death of the 22-year-old have finished their investigation.
After waiting nearly 5 years, the family of Morris may soon get the answers they have been looking for.
The Clay native was found hanging in a shower stall of a Bradenton Beach hotel room on New Yearâ??s Day 2009.
Police initially ruled her death a suicide, but friends and family believe she was murdered by her fiancé, 49-year-old Joe Genoese, who denies any involvement in her death.
Last October, the Herald Tribune reports that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement put together a team of experts to re-examine the case and concluded that the case should be reopened. They assigned special agents to the investigation.
This June, Morrisâ?? mother, Kelly Osborn, met with investigators and gave them information about her daughterâ??s death that she collected from her own investigation, according to the Herald Tribune.
The paper reports that the prosecutor overseeing the case is waiting for the final few steps of the investigation to be completed before determining whether any charges will be made.
