Portion of Route 174 in Camillus reopens after mudslide
Thu, 06 Jun 2013 15:23:41 GMT — A portion of Route 174 in Camillus was closed due to a mudslide that happened around 10:15 a.m. but reopened again at4:30 p.m.Route 174 northbound and southbound closed between Main Street and Forward Road in the Village of Camillus due to mudslide that happened around 10:00 a.m., according to the Department of Transportation.Gene Cilento from the State Department of Transportation says the area is prone to mud slides due to steep slopes. A similar incident has happened before in the area.Cilento says the slopes are not near any houses. He does not know if any homes are in jeopardy.
