'Probable homicide' under investigation in Waterloo

A 'probable homicide' is under investigation in Waterloo on Sunday

The Seneca County's Sheriff's Department says it is investigating a 'probable homicide.'

Deputies say a 61-year-old man was found with two gunshot wounds in his torso when police were called to his home at 827 Hecker Road in Waterloo.

The man, whose name hasn't been released yet, was pronounced dead at Geneva General Hospital. The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg says it appears the shooting wasn't a random attack and that there's likely no danger to other neighborhood residents, but no suspects are in custody.
