Protestors rally outside Andrew Cuomo fundraiser in Syracuse
Fri, 12 Jul 2013 17:22:06 GMT — Fracking opponents and gun law protestors lined the sidewalk outside the Genessee Grand Hotel in Syracuse where Governor Andrew Cuomo held a fundraiser Friday afternoon. Anti-fracking protestors say they want to urge the governor not to jeopardize the environment, economy and public health by allowing fracking. They say they want the governor to invest in renewable energy. A separate group of protestors showed their opposition to the new NY SAFE Act. One protestor held a sign reading, "Gun control is not about guns, its about control." The Post-Standard reports that the fundraiser, a lunch, costs $1,000-per-person.
