Public asked to help in Oswego fire investigation

Oswego's Cause & Origin team is looking for help in investigating an early Saturday morning housefire on Duer St.

A house on Oswego's east side was heavily damaged by flames, smoke and water early Saturday, and now there's a call out for the public's help in finding the cause.

The alarm, at 215 Duer Street, came in at 1:17 Saturday morning, and there were flames and heavy smoke in the two storey single-family home when firefighters got there. A neighbor called in the alarm.

After fifteen minutes of fighting the flames, firefighters were ordered out of the house, for their own safety. They also had to work around the live power line to the house, which had fallen t the ground. Firefighters and Oswego Police were at the house until 9:10 Saturday morning.
