Investigators have charged a Radisson man with attempted rape, burglary, unlawful inprisonment and resisting arrest.
Thomas S. Dyer, 50, of 8654 Breawood Drive, building 10 apartment 1C, appeared before the judge in the Town of Lysander Court Monday night. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Investigators say Dyer broke into a Radisson home late Saturday night. The woman inside allegedly woke up to find him straddling over her. The victim struggled with Dyer and was able to flee from her home to call for police.
Sheriff TMs Detectives conducted an investigating throughout the weekend and were able to identify Dyer as an alleged suspect. Dyer was taken into custody and formerly charged. Bail was set at $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond. Dyer was appointed counsel.
Dyer also had a warrant out for his arrest for allegedly not paying child support. He will have to answer to that charge in Family Court.
Dyer is due back in Town of Lysander Court on Friday, February 4th.
We want to update you on a story we reported earlier regarding a search for a "suspicious person" in the Radisson community in the Town of Lysander.
Onondaga County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. John D'Eredita tells us there were two incidents. On Saturday night there was a burglary at a residence in the Braewood Drive area. Deputies have not made an arrest in that case or said what was taken.
Sunday night, a resident of Radisson called 911 to report a susicious person in the same area. Sheriff's patrols responded and searched the area with patrol cars and the Air One helicopter. They did not locate anyone.
