Raising money to build memorial to victims in Herkimer County shootings

There is an effort underway in the Mohawk Valley to honor the victims in last month's shooting spree in Herkimer County.

The Herkimer Police Benevolent Association is selling t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts in order to raise money to build a memorial to the victims.

The clothing displays a canine paw on the front with Ape written inside it and features the police K9 prayer on the back. Ape the dog was shot by the suspect, Kurt Myers, and police say the dog's actions saved the lives of his human counterparts.

The clothing will be sold until May 7th. Click here to order yours.
