Famiily, colleague and friends, gathering at Our Lady of Lourdes Church for the remembrance.

Lindsey was a 6-year veteran of the Utica Police, an ex-Marine, and had done a routine traffic stop on Utica's Neilson Street last April when he was shot from behind. Lindsey had grown up in the Cornhill neighborhood, and requested working in that area, despite its reputation as a high-crime area.

When Welsey Molina-Cirino was sentenced for his death, law enforcers formed a gauntlet and turned their back on him, as he was taken from the courtroom for his life in prison sentence.

Lindsey's family and friends have done a remembrance every year, on the anniversary of his sacrifice.
