Report of Ray Middle School student bringing B.B. gun onto bus under investigation
BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. —
In a message sent to parents, the Baldwinsville School District says a report of a student having a B.B. gun on a bus Wednesday morning is under investigation.
According to the message, a student reported another student at Ray Middle School was in possession of a B.B. gun while on the bus.
The district said it is cooperating with law enforcement, adding "the District takes these matters very seriously and will not condone any threat to student and staff safety no matter what the origin."
The district also commended the student that brought the situation to their attention.

Dear Baldwinsville Families:
This morning a student at Ray Middle School reported that another student on the school bus was in possession of a B.B. gun. The District is cooperating with local law enforcement and the matter will be dealt with in accordance with state and federal laws and the District Code of Conduct. The District takes these matters very seriously and will not condone any threat to student and staff safety no matter what the origin. The District commends those students that immediately brought this matter to the attention of adults.
