A detailed report from the Valley Veterinary Associates reveals that more than 75% of the dogs taken from a kennel in Montgomery County were emaciated and kept in poor conditions.
The Flat Creek Kennel first got attention for possible animal cruelty as pictures began to spread through social media showing dogs outside the kennel in freezing conditions.
30 dogs were taken from the kennel and examined from January 8 through January 11. Out of those thirty dogs, 10 were found to be emaciated, while 13 were found thin. Only 7 dogs had an ideal body weight.
The dogs were also covered in fecal matter. The veterinarian examining the dogs said 76% of them were malnourished due to prolonged improper nutrition.
