Reports: Scott Congel commissions design for new Buffalo Bills stadium

Scott Congel

Scott Congel, owner of the Medley Centre in Rochester, has reportedly hired an architectural firm to design a potential stadium for the Buffalo Bills. Congel's father, Bob Congel, is responsible for megamalls such as Destiny USA and the Crossgates Mall in the Capitol Region.

The Buffalo News reports that he has hired HKS Sports to design the $700 million West Seneca Place Project at the former Seneca Mall site in Western New York.

The paper said HKS has planned NFL stadiums in Dallas, Indianapolis and Minneapolis.

Congel's proposal includes housing, offices and theaters.
