'Restore the Fourth' protesters call for government transparency

"Restore the Fourth" protest signs in Armory Square.

Protesters were exercising their freedom of speech in Armory Square on Thursday by bringing attention to what they say is a breach of our freedom of privacy.

The protest was part of a national movement called â??Restore the Fourth,â?? which is referring to the Fourth Amendment, which is designed to protect citizens against unreasonable search and seizure by the government.

This movement has gained traction in the wake of the recent NSA information gathering scandal.

â??Restore the Fourthâ?? is calling for more transparency in government operations, as well as full presidential pardons for information leakers Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden.
