      Retired parole officer arrested for falsifying time sheet, stealing $60,000

      State Police say Angelo Ervolina stole approximately $60,000 from the Department of Corrections by submitting false time sheets.

      A retired parole officer was arrested Thursday for falsifying records during his time at the Department of Corrections.

      State Police in Waterloo say Angelo Ervolina of Auburn benefited approximately $66,000 by falsifying his electronic time sheet over a twenty month period while working as a Senior Parole Officer for the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

      Ervolina was charged with grand larceny and multiple counts of offering a false instrument for filing. He was arraigned in the town of Waterloo court and released on his own recognizance. He's due to appear in court next month.
