Ride for Missing Children set for Sept 27

Again this year, bikers can join law enforcers in a 100 mile ride to bring safety awareness to area schools. This year's ride is Sept. 27

There's still time to collect pledges and sign up for this year's Ride for Missing Children.

The 100-mile biking event is on Friday, Sept. 27, starting at 8am in Baldwinsville and moving east through Syracuse and the eastern suburbs, then north through Brewerton and Phoenix before returning to B'ville by early evening.

The ride has several stops, including at 10 schools, where the law enforcers will reinforce information sent to special assemblies the week before, on child safety. This year's theme is internet safety.

The ride, which CNYCentral is proud to help sponsor, is a fundraiser for the Centers for Missing and Exploited Children, which educates on child safety and also helps distribute information on missing child cases.
