Rochester man accused of arranging to meet a young girl

A Rochester man is accused of attempting to meet a young girl for the purposes of engaging in sexual conduct.

State Police say 27-year-old Jason M. Frank, of Rochester, was arrested on charges of attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor and attempted endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say Frank was arrested after arriving at a predetermined location in the Syracuse area where at he had allegedly made plans to meet a young girl, who was believed to be 12-years-old, for the purpose of engaging in sexual conduct.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending in North Syracuse and Rochester.

Frank was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem court and was committed to the Albany County Jail with no bail. His next appearance is scheduled for April 12.
