Rochester man arrested in double murder of mother and daughter in Sodus

A Rochester man has been arrested in connection to a double murder in Sodus, Wayne County.

State Police arrested Dante Taylor, 32, on Thursday afternoon. He is charged with two counts of first degree murder and violation of parole.

Police say the bodies of Terri Moulton, 54, and her daughter Stacey, 30, were found inside a neighbor's home on Monday. They were reportedly checking on an out of town neighborâ??s cat when they were killed. James Moulton, the victimsâ?? son and brother, says the women fought back.

Police say part of the home had been set on fire as a possible attempt to cover up the crime.

Taylor is being held in the Monroe County Jail awaiting the Wayne County District Attorney to present the case to a grand jury.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
