Rollover crash near Lower Onondaga Park in Syracuse

Syracuse Police are investigating a two vehicle crash that happened on Rich Street near Lower Onondaga Park just before 12:00 p.m. Friday.
Police say a 2002 Pontiac Montana rolled over after being struck by a 2001 Chevy Lumina.
The Pontiac Montana, operated by a 28-year-old man, exited Lower Onondaga Park and drove into the path of the Chevy Lumina that was headed southbound on Rich Street.
The driver of the Chevy Lumina was identified as 19-year-old Duran Jackson, of Syracuse, and he had a 17-year-old female passenger. Neither Jackson nor his passenger was injured.
The driver of the Pontiac Montana, 28-year-old Giovanni Storms of Syracuse, had no passengers and already out of the vehicle when police arrived. He was taken to Upstate Hospital as a precautionary measure for leg pain.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Jackson was ticketed for unlicensed operation and will appear in Syracuse City Traffic Court at a later date.
The crash is still under investigation and additional tickets may be issued.
