A man was involved in a single car accident in the Town of Floyd Monday night.
According to the Oneida County Sheriffâ??s Office, C.L. Velazquez, 25, of Rome, was driving down River Road when he lost control of his car as he was driving around a bend where the road was freshly oiled.
Deputies say the car went off the road and hit a sign, several small trees and the guide wires to a utility pole causing a power outage in the area.
Velazquez was taken to Rome Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Velazquez is to appear at Floyd Town Court for not wearing a seat belt, failing to keep right and speeding.
