Searchers are looking for the pilot of an Angel Flight medevac plane that went down on Friday evening, west of Albany. The plane was headed to Rome, NY and was coming from Bedford, Massachusetts.
People at a campground in Fulton County, near Ephratah, say they heard a loud explosion just minutes before the Piper PA 34 came down. Debris was strewn over a mile in a rural area, with most of the plane's wreckage in a pond.
The bodies of a man and woman, believed passengers, have been recovered, but are not yet identified. The plane was heard circling in rain and heavy overcast.
The FAA is already investigating and searchers and divers continue the recovery efforts.
