As the south continues to deal with the effects of a major winter storm, Syracuse University head football coach Scott Shafer finds himself in the middle of an uproar online.
On Wednesday, Shafer tweeted "2 inches of snow, city and airport shutdown ATL #softnosed." He later removed the tweet after receiving major backlash.
The hashtag refers to a comment he made at his first press conference when he called Syracuse fans "hard nosed."
The storm in Atlanta closed businesses and caused schools to shut down and left many people stranded.
Shafer later took to Twitter to apologize, saying "Hey no harm meant to those affected by the storm #BleedOrange."
