Search continues for Onondaga man missing for 12 years

Police in Onondaga County are looking for the public TMs help in finding a man who has been missing for more than a decade.

Saturday will mark the 12th anniversary of the day Guy M. Pyke of Aitcheson Road in the Town of Onondaga left his home and never returned. Sheriff TMs Deputies say on April 2, 1999 Pyke headed to the Watertown area in his 1989 Chevrolet Blazer to visit relatives. Pyke never returned home from that trip.

Pyke, who if alive would be 82-years-old, was said to have been suffering from dementia and Alzheimer TMs Disease and was last seen in the Evans Mills area. There have been no reports or sightings of Pyke or his SUV since his disappearance, but police detectives say they are continuing their efforts to find him.

Pyke is described as standing six feet tall and weighing approximately 168 pounds. He has gray hair, blue eyes, and wears glasses. A photo of Pyke and his vehicle accompany this story.
