Second arrest made in connection with robbery, shooting of CBA coach

Thomas Dotterer's store, Syracuse Wine and Spirits at 1428 North Salina Street

Syracuse Police have arrested Delvon H. Harley of Syracuse in connection with two armed robberies that occurred last week.

The 23 year old is charged with robbery, assault and criminal possession. Police say he was involved in the armed robbery of two females on Taft Avenue. Police say he was also involved in the robbery and assault at Salina Liquors and Wine on North Saline Street the same night.

Police say Harley and the second suspect Shireff Williams entered the liquor store and shot the store owner Thomas Dotterer in the eye.

Williams was arrested and charged last week. Harley was arrested Tuesday morning. Police say he tried to run away from police by jumping out a first story window when detectives entered the residence. Harley tried to run away from another officer outside the house, but the officer used his Tazor and was able to take Harley into custody.

Harley is being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Dotterer has now been released from Upstate University hospital.
