Serious crash in Elbridge

State Police have released new information concerning an accident in Elbridge last night--fortunately;y, police say injuries to the three people are non-life threatening{>} Here is the release just into our CNYcentral.

The State Police in Elbridge investigated a two car accident that sent three people to the hospital on Sunday night. The accident occurred on State Route 5 near Halfway Road in the Town of Elbridge, Onondaga County at approximately 10:30 PM. Mr. Christopher Elia, 18,, of 767 Spring Lake Rd Port Byron, was operating a Ford Mustang westbound on State Route 5 when he drifted into the eastbound lane of traffic and struck a Toyota Echo, head on, which was traveling east . The Toyota Echo was operated by Navzad Dabu,16, of 7426 Henry Clay Blvd Liverpool. Mr. Elia and Mr. Dabu were transported via ambulance to Upstate Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. The front seat passenger of the Toyota Echo, Navroz Dabu, 55, of 7426 Henry Clay Blvd Liverpool, was air lifted via Mercy Flight to Upstate Medical Center with fractures to both legs. Navroz Dabu listed in fair condition. Mr. Elia was ticketed in the accident.

E mergency crews are on the scene of a serious car crash on Route 5 in Elbridge.

It happened around 10:30 Sunday night. 911 says ambulances and the mercy flight were sent to the scene.
