Severe thunderstorm watch issued for most of CNY

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the following counties until 8:00pm: Cayuga, Chenango, Otsego, Steuben, Wayne, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Tioga, Lewis, Onondaga, Oswego, Seneca, Tompkins and Yates.
The storm front could produce intense winds, around an estimated 70 MPH, that could cause significant damage. There is also a threat for an isolated tornado.
The storm system is tracking to be in the area between Syracuse and Ithaca to Cortland and Norwich between 5 and 7 pm, and from Utica to Cooperstown between 6 and 8pm.
