This severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Chenango, extreme southeastern Madison, Otsego, and extreme Southern Herkimer counties.
A severe thunderstorm watch is issued to alert you to the possibility that thunderstorms containing damaging winds of 58 mph or higher and/or large hail of 1?? in diameter or bigger may develop at some point during the next several hours. A watch does not mean severe weather is occurring.
-- Go about your normal activities, but be aware of the possibility of severe weather developing.
