A Sherburne couple is arrested after an investigation into a child being let off the school bus and not having a parent or guardian at home.
Chenango County Sheriffâ??s Deputies say the child was seen by a neighbor trying to get into her locked home. The neighbor was taking care of the child while authorities were trying to contact her family.
Chenango County Child Protective Services was called to help take care of the child.
The childâ??s mother, 35-year-old Jacqueline R. Fiasco and 30-year-old James H. Palmer showed up a few hours later and were arrested.
Both were charged with endangering the welfare of a child and were taken to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of cash bail.
