Sheriff: Two men said to have long gun entered Onondaga gas station, took cash

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at a gas station Saturday afternoon in the Town of Onondaga.

According to authorities, the robbery occurred at the Valero Gas Station at 6905 S. Salina St. around 3:20 p.m. Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies said that two unidentified men entered the gas station and demanded money from the clerk and a customer. The two suspects, said to be armed with at least one long gun, fled from the store after taking the customer's wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

No one was injured during the incident, authorities said.

The Sheriff's Air 1 helicopter responded to the area to assist patrol units with the search of the suspects.

Detectives assigned to the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene and continue to investigate the robbery.

Detectives have released surveillance images of the two suspects and are requesting public assistance with identifying them.
