Shooting suspect wanted in Cortland is considered armed and dangerous

      A woman is wanted after a shooting in Cortland last Friday night, police said Wednesday.

      Cortland Police say Shanessa V. Pittman, 26, is wanted for her involvement in a shooting that happened outside of 152 Main Street just before 10:30 p.m. Friday.

      Pittman is wanted on charges of felony reckless endangerment, felony criminal possession of a weapon, felony assault, and misdemeanor prohibited use of a weapon.

      Pittman is described as a black female, 5â??6" tall, and approximately 160 lbs. with short black hair and numerous facial tattoos.

      Police say she may be in possession of a small caliber handgun and should be considered armed and dangerous.

      Police say it is believed Pittman fled the scene in a tan colored Ford Explorer.
