People in the Oneida County Village of Bridgewater are voting on whether to dissolve the village and merge with the town to save money.
This is what the Governor has been pushing in his property tax speeches around the state, including one in Oneida County on Tuesday.
The population in the Village of Bridgewater is about 470 people. Leaders say the cost of the operation is unsustainable.
In fact, the village has had a hard time finding people willing to run for public office.
If the vote does not pass, the Village Board cannot put it back up for a public vote for another four years.
