Six CNY churches join forces to bring relief to Oklahoma tornado victims

Six Central New York churches are coming together to launch a joint relief effort for the victims of Moore, Oklahoma and the nearby areas that were so devastated by the tornado on May 20.

Abundant Life Christian Center, of East Syracuse, Church on The Rock, of Oneida, Peopleâ??s AME Zion Church, River of Life Church, Syracuse Salt of the Earth Ministries, all of Syracuse, and Southern Tier Family Life Church, of Binghamton have started collecting donations and are planning a joint relief mission the second week of June.

The Central New York churches will be joining churches in Oklahoma to help tornado victims start picking up the pieces after the horrific damage the storm caused to homes and families.

They will also help by handing out supplies to families who are living in shelters and hotels.

Money donated will help fund the recovery efforts for families who lost their homes in the disaster.
