Solvay woman accused of trying to kill husband

A Solvay woman is accused of trying to murder her husband. Solvay Police have charged Virigina LaPoint with the attempted murder of her husband Michael LaPoint.

Police say the incident happened on May 4th at 217 William Street in the village.

She faces charges of attempted 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, Conspiracy 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree.

At the time of the incident in May, Solvay Police arrested 42-year-old John Conway. He was charged with attempted murder 2nd degree, assault 1st degree, criminal possession of weapon 2nd, 3rd and 4th degrees.

Police told CNY Central Michael LaPoint had been stabbed multiple times and that it took place between two homes in the 200 block of William Street.

Police told us the attack stemmed from an ongoing argument between the two men.

Virginia LaPoint was arraigned this evening in Solvay village court on $500,000 bond or cash bail.
