A Liverpool man is facing charges for throwing a huge house party involving hundreds of people.

23-year-old Gregory York, of 342 Cameco Circle in Liverpool, is charged with criminal trespass. He told deputies his parents gave him permission to have a graduation party at their Pompey home while they were out of town.

Just before 11 p.m. on July 2, deputies responded to the 7500 block of Ashlind Circle. Air One was called in when deputies found 500 to 700 people crowded around a pool and backyard drinking alcohol. Someone even threw a glass bottle at a patrol car. Some 200 cars were parked along Ashlind Circle, Winsbury Circle and Henneberry Road.

York's mother, 59-year-old Patricia McGinnis initially deputies she did not give her son permission to throw a party, but did not want him to be prosecuted. She later decided she wanted him prosecuted.

York was arraigned in Manlius town Court and is being held in the Justice Center on $2,500 cash bail or bond. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pompey Court next Tuesday.
