The 14th annual Syracuse Nationals car show is set for Friday, July 19, through Sunday, July 21 at the State Fairgrounds. The event is open to hot rods, muscle cars, classics and customs manufactured in 1980 and before.
The "celebrity" guests this year are the stars of a popular reality television show on The History Channel. Mike Wolfe and Danielle Colby-Cushman, stars of "American Pickers," will appear this year. Their show features a cross country journey of picking through antiques and collectables. Wolfe will meet fans and sign autographs in the Center of Progress Building Friday, July 19, from 9-11 a.m. Colby-Cushman will be available Saturday, July 20, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, July 21, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
In a prepared news release, The Syracuse Nationals reported that 2012 saw the largest turnout since the founding of the annual car show with more than 400 vendors, more than 650 campers and 7,700 various cars on display. Since 2000, the show has donated $622,644 to charity, and this year it hopes to reach the $700,000 mark.
