State Fair attendance increases on second day

State Fair attendance is increasing after a low turnout on opening day.

According to Fair officials, on Friday, day two of the 2013 Great New York State Fair, 74,558 people attended. That's up 9,472 over last year.

Fair officials say Toby Keith's concert at the Grandstand and an appearance by cast members of the "Real Housewives" on the Midway Music Series Stage brought in big crowds Friday night.

Opening day this year had its lowest turnout since the Fair began opening on Thursdays in 1990 with only 41,923 people attending.
