State Police arrest a man following a domestic dispute in Rome

On Saturday, State Police responded to a domestic dispute on Rome Oriskany Road in the City of Rome.

When they arrived, police determined Raymond Vargas, 46, of Staatsburg had menaced a woman with a piece of a wooden table and subjected her to physical contact. He also damaged property within the home.

Vargas was charged with menacing, criminal mischief and harassment.

He was arraigned in the Village of New York Mills Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $5,000 bail.
