State police are investigating a suspicious death at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.
A 55-year-old woman was found dead inside her hotel room at the resort on Monday.
State police say they were notified by Oneida Nation Police just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday. According to the Utica Observer-Dispatch, troopers say the woman's body was discovered after the victim's 57-year-old male companion suffered an apparent drug-related medical emergency in the hotel lobby.
Investigators say it appears the victim's death is drug related, but the investigation will continue until toxicology tests come back. The victim's name will not be released while the investigation continues.
