State Police investigating sexual assault that happened Halloween morning in North Syracuse

State Police are asking for your help as they investigate a sexual assault that happened in North Syracuse just after the clock struck midnight on Halloween morning.

A woman says she was sexually assaulted in the parking lot of "Mug Shotz", a restaurant and bar on North Main Street/Brewerton Road in the Village.

She told troopers based out of Lysander it happened around 12:30 a.m. October 31.

The woman said her assailant -- who she described as a thin, white man, around 5'9" to 5'11" tall -- was last seen running toward Bear Road, just west of Route 11.

The most distinguishing characteristic of the man, according to the woman, was that he had tattoos on both sides of his neck. She said he had thin, short light brown or blonde hair, and was clean-shaven.

At the time he ran away, he was wearing a gray hoodie zip-up sweatshirt and black sweat pants.

If you have any information that could help troopers, you're asked to give State Police a call at (315) 638-8328. Ask for Investigator Gary Darstein.
