T he future of the Sterling Renaissance Festival appears to be uncertain.
T he festival's website says it's in a "real pickle" and is asking for donations in order to keep the summer tradition alive.
T he owners say they need $300,000 to open on July 5th.
T hey blame changes in bank regulation , lending sources and the unavailability of private funding sources for the shortage.
The website says it has plenty of volunteers but needs the money for advertising, inventory and licensing.
People are being asked to make a one-time donation of $100. Everyone that donates that amount will receive a pair of free tickets to the festival.
At the time this afticle was published a little over $7,300 had been raised.
