Four stolen vehicle suspects were taken into custody in Cicero Wednesday, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff's office.

At 4:50 a.m. Wednesday morning, deputies responded to a reported larceny in progress on Farrington Road in the Town of Cicero.

On Thursday Onondaga County Sheriff Eugene Conway identified the suspects as:

  • Cheyne Dolan, 23, of Syracuse
  • Delvon Durham, 21, of Syracuse
  • Nefikah Handford, 23, of Syracuse
  • Brant Richardson, 21, of Syracuse

A juvenile was also taken into custody.

They're each facing several charges of grand larceny and burglary. The suspects were arraigned in Town of Cicero court, Conway said.

Conway said the suspects were part of a ring of stolen vehicles, burglaries, and vehicle larcenies. In all, six vehicles were stolen and have all since been recovered, along with some stolen property. Conway said the thefts happened in the Towns of Salina, Clay, Cicero, Van Buren, Lafayette, and the villages of Baldwinsville and Phoenix.

Deputies said the thefts occurred over the course of several days when vehicles were left unlocked in northern Onondaga County and southern Oswego County.

The Sheriff's Office said the arrests came when deputies observed two previously reported stolen vehicles with one occupied by two suspects. Those suspects were taken into custody, and two additional suspects were located after a search by the Sheriff’s AIR 1 helicopter, K9 units, North Syracuse Police and the New York State Police.

The investigation into this incident continues, deputies said.
