SU Quarterback Terrel Hunt ejected from game

Terrel Hunt punches a Villanova player, leading to his ejection

Syracuse Head Coach Scott Shafer said after Syracuse's heart-pounding win over Villanova that Terrel Hunt will not face further punishment for his ejection against Villanova.

Syracuse's next game is against Central Michigan on the road on September 13th, and barring something unforseen Hunt will be the Orange's starting quarterback.

During the first game of a new seaon where his leadership was being counted on, Syracuse University quarterback Terrel Hunt was ejected.

Just before halftime, it appears Hunt felt he was hit a little too hard. He punched a Villanova defender in the head. There is a new rule in college football that says when you throw a punch, it earns you an automatic ejection.

Freshman Austin Wilson of Pennsylvania will play the rest of the game.
