'Super Paulie' Morley left lasting impact on thousands, thanks them in unique obituary

Paul Morley

Paul Morley passed away after a courageous battle with leukemia this week, but even in his obituary, â??Super Paulieâ?? is inspiring people all over Central New York and the world.

His obituary reads:

â??I, Super Paulie M. Morley, of Hastings, NY, fought one last epic battle against my arch nemesis, Cancer on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the age of 2 years, 10 months, 11 days. Cancer defeated my body, however it did NOT defeat my soul. For that is a battle cancer will never win! Iâ??d like to thank the THOUSANDS of fellow Super Heroes that supported me and my family during this fight right to the bitter end. Because of you all, I had the greatest adventures a boy could want. I am proudest of my mommy, daddy and big sister, Angela Schuyler, Nicholas Morley and Haiden Fullmer. Every day they put on their Super Hero capes and fought with me. One thing Iâ??ve never suffered from is a small family, â??My legion of Super Heroes both here and goneâ??.

â??Donâ??t cry because itâ??s over, smile because I happened!â??

Paul Morleyâ??s calling hours will be held from 4-6:30pm on Monday, July 21, at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home at 3401 Vickery Road in North Syracuse. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend.

A celebration of Paulâ??s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, from 1-4pm at the Hastings Fire Department.

Contributions in Paulâ??s honor can be made to The Montgomery Experience, 9040 Donley Road, Waterville 13480, or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of CNY.
